Helmut Newton
Fashion Photographer
Died: 2004
Newton is known for his explicit and "erotically charged" photography. All in Black and White-Newtons fashion photography doesn't hesitate to push the boundaries to promote fashion.
He started his career in Australia, until he got a 12 month contract with British Vogue, then moving onto Australian Vogue and finally French Vogue. He has also worked with Harpers Bazaar, Playboy and other publications.
His work was renowned to be nude and explicit, but his taste in fashion always came through in his work.
Although he is known for his fashion photography, Newton also worked in portraiture, but his iconic style comes through more in his rude photography that shows attitude and confidence in the model.
